Yes, you should! Installing an alarm in your motorhome will enhance security by acting as a deterrent against theft and unauthorised entry, especially if you’re parked in unfamiliar areas or if the vehicle is left unattended. Belongings aboard your motorhome could be valuable and therefore attractive targets, so alarm system will provide peace of mind. Additionally, having an alarm system may contribute to lower insurance premiums.
If you have motorhome accessories fitted, it means that function is ‘pre-installed’ each time you use the vehicle. You could also, potentially, save on storage space (for example, having air conditioning fitted would help you save on the surface space or storage space you’d waste with portable fans. Having accessories fitted is also perfect for outdoor types – bike racks, tow bars, solar panels and awnings.
You could, as some accessories are DIY-friendly. But our very best advice is that almost all are best fitted professionally by the team at Continental Leisure. Improper installation you’ve undertaken yourself may void warranties. Accessories may even malfunction, or cause electrical problems and safety risks.
